Homemade scone

I like scone, but I hardly to get the nice scone from bakery shop. Last month, I found a recipe from my colleague's blog, Hijau itu Indah Dan Permai..oh.. nice.. So I called her to ask for further..however, I had dragged it for weeks as I were busy for some other events.

Last Sunday, I 'd finally done it..... well..I do not have weighing scale..though I had copied down all her recipe, I just added in the ingredients by my own feeling...(ooppss..)..Here was my 1st scone:

So, how does it look? Pass? ...ok, closer look :

Still cannot tell it is good or not? ok, a clearer look:

To me, the appearance is ok, (actually it can be better, as I had ran out the egg...so no egg for the egg wash which use for brushing the top).. but the taste..hmm...really not that good, it's slight floury taste, maybe I put too much of flour, I forgot to ask my colleague is that suppose to be sticky. It was dry like course crumb after I mixed the flour with butter, even after I had added in the egg, but it turn wet and sticky after I mixed the yogurt and raisins. It was too sticky so I need to add in a bit of flour to form the shape, I am not sure was it the "little" flour gave the floury taste.

My husband gave me 70/100 for the 1st time, however I gave myself 60/100. I shall try again to achieve higher mark!
