Company Hari Raya Dinner 2011

I have to apologize that I might be too late that now only I want to upload my Hari Raya thingy as Hari Raya holidays has already over almost 3 weeks. Well, late is still better than nothing :P

Raya Dinner is our company annual event, our plant staffs mainly are Muslims, therefore we used to have this dinner since the plant was 1st built in year 2007.

Staffs started preparing the dinner at 4:30pm on that day, 9th Sept 2011. Food for about 70 persons.

Food!
More food! Cover the laksam with newspaper 1st while waiting for me to take the wrapper, hygiene is the most important in our plant policy!!

We have guest from next door, Italian Bakery, and also from Marketing side, therefore this is the table for them~

Attacking foodie~

The purpose of this photo isto show you the food :P They didn't take the full view of food.. Nasi impit, lemang, chicken rendang, laksam, satay, nuggets, chicken patty, cake, fruits. etc..

Everyone was busy eating, except.....

My boss, needs to feed his king before he can attack the foodie, kekekeke...

This year food was better than previous years, however heard that the Myanmar and Nepali staffs didn't really enjoy because they are not used to the typical local malay food. Anyway..we will improve year by year and be better year by year. :)

Istana Hotel, Buf"fat" !!

It has been some time I did not update my blog...because recently I am busy for my annual dinner performance preparation, it's fun, however I cannot describe details here until December, it is private and confidential training, hehe...yaa...it's not solely for performance, in fact it is a competition among the companies...Ok, shall stop here and start my content today..:P

I went to Istana Hotel for buffet last two week, it is 5-star-hotel, however we managed to get 5o% off for the buffet from the online coupon website, it was about RM48.90/pax...around that, cannot remember because I was not the one who paid for the coupon, hehe.

Ok, let's start with some soups, two soups available at the counter, mushroom soup and chinese style chicken soup, I had mushroom soup because it get along nicer with all this sticks. The soups was creamy and the sticks were crispy, not bad.

Then some appetizers were the next, pecking duck wrap, smoked salmon with potato salads, bamboo abalone salad, mixed assorted mushrooms salad, chicken cold cut, simple sushi with ginger, and salmon paste with caviar. Hmm..the pecking duck wrap not bad, smoked salmon with potato salad also not bad, the rest are so so only.

The come to 1st main course, pasta. Hmm..frankly speaking, my husband can cook better than this.

Roti Jala, nasi briyani with curry mutton and rendang chicken, hmm..normal..normal..

Assam laksa, I personally prefer it to be more sourish, overall was still not bad.

Pita bread with kebab, plus some tasteless pasta.

Dessert time. Assorted beautiful but taste terrible desserts.

Same description as above.

Chocolate fountain was found, however it's a norm dishes in buffet session nowadays, nothing to "woo" about.

6 persons couldn't finish those desserts, can you imagine how bad was the taste?

Appetizers and main course were ok ok, however it does not have much choices. It only 4 types simple sushi at the counter, they replace the shrimp sushi with other cheaper sushi when it was finish, as the 5-star hotel, this types of service seems a bit "cheapo" to me lo...hmm..

I will not be back here again, I am a cheapo person too, I found what I'd eaten is not worth for what I'd paid for, hehe...
